The President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron, accompanied by his wife, Brigitte Macron, visited, on Wednesday, the “Divas, from Oum Kalthoum to Dalida” exhibition at the Institute of the Arab World (IMA).
On this occasion, the president of the IMA, Jack Lang took the President of the Republic to visit the exhibition, explaining to him the purpose of this event which looks back on the journey of four extraordinary women, whose talent and aura have upset the cultural industry and transcended borders, beyond their countries of origin and the Arab world.
The exceptional personalities featured in this exhibition, from the first Egyptian feminists to Oum Kalthoum, Asmahan, Warda, Fayrouz, and Dalida, are very concrete examples, and more relevant than ever, of powerful women taking their destiny in hands to emancipate.
It is in this context that Emmanuel Macron paid tribute to the splendor of the great Arab divas, who embody beauty, poetry and emancipation, and still touch the hearts of millions of people around the world today. .
