The executive body of the Jordanian Football Federation has decided to appoint Moroccan coach Hussein Ammouta as technical director of the national first team.
Ammouta will have to preside over the destinies of the selection of Jordan during the next deadlines, in particular the qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup, which will begin at the end of this year, and the final stages of the Asian Cup which will be held in Qatar at the beginning. 2024, announced the Jordanian federation.
It is expected that the federation will present the new coach of Al-Nashama in the next month, as well as the composition of the technical, administrative and medical staff, in accordance with Ammouta’s recommendations.
It should be noted that the national executive has managed several clubs and national teams, and has remarkable achievements to his credit, in particular the title of the CAF Champions League with Wydad Athletic Club and the African Confederation Cup with the FUS of Rabat Club, and many local titles with the Qatari Al-Sadd, and more recently the 2023 champion title with AS FAR.
Ammouta also led the home side’s national team with which he won the African Cup, in addition to finishing second in the recent Arab Cup in Qatar.
