The Foundation of the Academy of the Kingdom of Morocco and the Royal Institute for Research in the History of Morocco have decided to set up a prefiguration mission for the House of History of Morocco (Dar Tarikh al Maghrib).
A joint press release from the two institutions indicates that “following the publication of the work entitled + For a house in the history of Morocco +, and the echo it generated and which confirms the strong social demand for history, Foundation of the Academy of the Kingdom of Morocco and the Royal Institute for Research in the History of Morocco have decided to publish a pocket edition of this live and to set up a mission to prefigure the House of History of Morocco ” .
The pocket edition of the book which includes all the contributions and illustrations of the original version is now available in bookstores, adds the Foundation, noting that the foreshadowing mission, entrusted to Mohamed Kenbib, director of the Royal Institute for Research in History of Morocco and Driss El Yazami, is responsible for writing a report to determine, with as much precision as possible, the outlines of this project, its components, the modalities and stages of its realization.
This will include, adds the text, identifying the main activities of this new institution, explaining the historical story that the first event will have to present, outlining the programming of its activities, identifying partnerships. public and private national and international, necessary for the creation and then the functioning of the House of the history of Morocco, to study the possible establishments.
It is also specified that the mission will ensure to adopt an inclusive approach by carrying out the most extensive consultations of the various stakeholders: historians and other researchers in the human and social sciences, heritage experts and institutions, public archives and private archives. , educators, didacticians, architects, specialists in information sciences and new information and communication technologies (NICT), notes the Foundation.
And to add: “The mission will be able to organize meetings of exchange of points of view and collection of targeted proposals on such or such part of its work program in order to create the necessary institutions for the construction of Dar Tarikh al. Maghriba ”.
