Hicham Ait Menna of the National Rally of Independents (RNI) was elected on Saturday as the new president of the council of the commune of Mohammedia.
He obtained 31 votes during the voting session of the Chairman of the Board, which has 41 members.
The RNI won the Mohammedia Council elections by winning 17 seats.
The Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) won 7 seats, the Socialist Union of Popular Forces (USFP), the Alliance of the Left Federation, the Istiqlal Party (PI), the Justice and Development (PJD) won three seats each, while the Constitutional Union won two seats.
The New Democrats (NEO), Popular Movement (MP), Environment and Development Party (PED), Unified Socialist Party (PSU) and Front of Democratic Forces (FFD) won seats each.
