The High Commission for Planning (HCP) indicated that the producer price index (IPP) of the “Manufacturing industries excluding oil refining” sector recorded an increase of 0.6% during the month of June. compared to May 2022.
In its recent note relating to the index of industrial, energy and mining production prices (IPPIEM), the HCP specifies that this increase is the result of the 2.3% increase in the prices of “food industries”, from 1 .5% of “Paper and cardboard industry”, 0.8% of “Textile industry”, 0.3% of “Clothing industry”, 1% of “Works of ‘printing and reproduction of records’, 0.7% of ‘Woodworking’ and 0.1% of ‘Chemical industry’, ‘Manufacture of electrical equipment’, ‘Manufacture of metal products” and “Manufacturing of computer products”, as well as the 2.3% drop in prices for “Metallurgy”.
Regarding the producer price index of the “Extractive industries” sector, it rose by 0.1% during the month of June.
In addition, the producer price indices for the “Electricity production and distribution” and “Water production and distribution” sectors stagnated in June 2022.
