The director general of the DGSN-DGST pole, Abdellatif Hammouchi, paid this Sunday, July 9 a visit to the Mohammed V sports complex in Casablanca, to inquire in person about the implementation of the security protocol in anticipation of the Casablanca derby between the Raja and Wydad on behalf of the semi-final of the 2022/23 Throne Cup edition.

Accompanied by senior national security officials, Hammouchi personally inquired about the security measures and arrangements adopted by the national security elements to secure the meeting and ensure a smooth flow of people and vehicles around the stadium.

On this occasion, he followed the precise explanations given by the Wali of Casablanca Security on the protocol for securing the stands and the facilities of the stadium which is hosting this match, as well as on the parallel work plans to secure traffic and ensuring the flow of traffic and the large influx of supporters.

As a reminder, the Casablanca police headquarters mobilized a total of 5,000 elements from various security and law enforcement units, supported by large technical and logistical teams, in order to ensure proper management of the various aspects related to this game.

For the same purpose, some 200 security vehicles, including four-wheel drive cars, armored vehicles and motorcycles, as well as vehicles equipped with mobile cameras, were also mobilized.

It should be noted that the General Directorate of National Security takes care to support the various sporting events organized in the Kingdom, adopting in this respect human and logistical systems, adapted to the specificities of each event, the aim being to secure these important meetings. and consecrate Morocco’s reputation as a safe country capable of hosting various continental and international sporting events.
