The future of Achraf Hakimi would emerge on the side of Paris Saint-Germain. Forced to leave Inter Milan, the Moroccan international has already reached an agreement with the French giants. His agent takes stock of this file, one of the hottest of the transfer window.
PSG are said to be in the process of making a deal to lure Achraf Hakimi this summer, despite the interest of Champions League holder Chelsea.
The versatile full-back helped Inter land their first Scudetto in 10 years, but his future is uncertain amid the Nerazzuri’s financial woes.
With Inter trying to cut costs due to the coronavirus pandemic, Milan management have decided to sell the most bankable player in their squad.
Faced with the enthusiasm aroused by Hakimi, the latter’s agent, Alejandro Camano, made a point of taking stock, leaving the suspense concerning a finalized agreement between the two parties. Camano also said the Atlas Lion is particularly sad to leave the Italian roster.
“We have talked about several things, we cannot yet say that Hakimi is a new player for PSG”, Camano told Tuttomercatoweb.“If Hakimi is sad to leave Inter? Those who leave Inter are always sad ”, he added.
Hakimi has appeared in 37 of Inter’s 38 Serie A games as the Nerazzurri have been crowned champions of Italy, making 29 starts. Only Martinez (38) has appeared in more top-level games for Inter in 2020-21.
The former Borussia Dortmund has scored seven league goals, including a brace against Bologna in December, making him Inter’s third-highest scorer after Martinez (17) and Lukaku (24).
Hakimi has played 3,216 minutes in 45 appearances across all competitions and by early February had been directly involved in 10 Serie A goals, becoming the first defender to do so in Europe’s top five leagues in 2020-21.
