Hajj 1443: Morocco’s quota set at 15,392 pilgrims

The royal commission in charge of the pilgrimage meets to learn about the measures taken by the Saudi authorities in charge of the hajj for the year 1443 of the hegira. Morocco’s quota has been set at 15,392 pilgrims.

A press release from the Ministry of Habous and Islamic Affairs specifies that these measures relate to the obligation for the person authorized to perform the pilgrimage to be under the age of 65, provided that he was born in August or the months following in the year 1957.

Likewise, she must have received the three doses of the anti-covid vaccine, and present a negative result of the PCR test for a sample taken within 72 hours before leaving for the pilgrimage.

Note that the quota of Moroccan pilgrims is 45% of the normal quota, i.e. 15,392 pilgrims (10,186 supervised by the Ministry of Habous and Islamic Affairs and 5,206 by tourist travel agencies).
