The Republic of Guinea reiterated, on Tuesday in Rabat, its firm and constant support for the territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Morocco and its support for the initiative of the autonomy plan, presented by the Kingdom, which constitutes the only credible and realistic for the resolution of this dispute.
This position was expressed in the joint communiqué published at the end of the talks held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Residing Abroad, Nasser Bourita and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Integration African and Guineans Living Abroad, Morissanda Kouyaté, as part of the strengthening of relations of brotherhood and solidarity between the two countries.
Kouyaté also hailed the efforts of the United Nations Organization as an exclusive and consensual framework to reach a realistic, practical and lasting solution to the Sahara regional dispute.
He also stressed that the opening by the Republic of Guinea of a Consulate General in Dakhla, in January 2020, is in line with the historical position of the Republic of Guinea, specifies the joint press release.
