Guinea-Bissau reaffirmed, Thursday in Rabat, its “coherent” position in favor of the Moroccanity of the Sahara and the territorial integrity of the Kingdom.
“Guinea-Bissau maintains its consistent position on the issue of the territorial integrity of Morocco”underlined the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Communities of Guinea-Bissau, Suzi Carla Barbosa in a statement to the press, at the end of her talks with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans residing in abroad, Nasser Bourita, on the sidelines of the work of the 1st ministerial meeting of Atlantic African States, held on Wednesday in Rabat.
“We believe that the only solution to the Sahara issue must be within the framework of the United Nations”, she insisted.
The head of Bissau-Guinean diplomacy also indicated that Morocco is a partner country, expressing the wish to maintain the “very good” cooperative relationship between the two countries.
She also wished to express her thanks to the Kingdom for the support provided to Bissau-Guinean students within the framework of bilateral cooperation in the field of training.
