Granada and Las Palmas go back to the first division

The teams of Granada and Las Palmas ensured, on Saturday evening, their return to the elite of Spanish football after years playing in the second division of La Liga.

Granada prevailed against Leganes (2-0), securing first place in the general classification.

The Andalusian club, relegated last season, will be accompanied by Las Palmas, who finished second with three points after a draw (0-0) against Alavès.

The Canarians have won the bet to regain their place in the first division after five seasons at the lower level.

The third team that will play next season in La Liga will be known after a play-off that will bring together Levante, Oviedo, Alaves, Eibar and Albacete.
