Head of Government said the forthcoming maternity grant under the Direct Social Support Program has has earmarked 2,000 dirhams for the first child and 1,000 dirhams for the second child.
The program is slated to launch by the end of 2023.
Aziz Akhannouch revealed during the parliamentary session that this one-time financial aid will be distributed to families upon the birth of their first and second children. These efforts aim to provide direct monthly support to millions of families currently outside the scope of existing social security systems.
The program will prioritize beneficiary targeting, secure funding, and emphasize collaboration across ministerial sectors and public institutions. The allocated budget for this initiative amounts to 40 billion dirhams annually.
