Government Council to convene on Thursday

A Council of Government meeting will be held on Thursday under the chairmanship of the Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch, according to a statement by the Department of the Head of Government.

At the beginning of its proceedings, the Council will examine two bills, the first concerning the cancellation of arrears owed to the National Social Security Fund (CNSS) under the compulsory health insurance scheme, relating to contributions, surcharges, prosecution costs and penalties imposed on the categories of professionals, self-employed workers and the self-employed exercising a private activity, while the second relates to the approval of the decree-law creating the High Atlas Development Agency.

It will then examine two draft decrees: the first relating to beaconing easements in the vicinity of airfields and along air routes, while the second provides for the implementation of the provisions of article 23 of the organic law on the organization and conduct of government business and the status of its members, concerning the government’s examination of draft legislation, added the statement.

The Council will conclude its work by examining proposals for appointments to higher office, in accordance with the provisions of article 92 of the Constitution.

At the end of the Council’s proceedings, the government will hold a meeting dedicated to examining proposed legislation, according to the same source.
