The government council met on Thursday May 27 to adopt a series of decrees relating to the health sector. Thus, three texts were approved, relating in particular to the ethics and the situation of the interns and externs of the various health establishments which saw their allowances increase.
The board adopted a first draft decree relating to the Code of Ethics, the status of interns in public health hospitals as well as the situation of interns, externs and residents of hospitals.
The council adopted the draft decree n ° 2.21.225 relating to the Code of ethics of physicians presented by the Minister of Health, Khalid Ait Taleb, and drafted in collaboration with the National Order of Physicians.
According to government spokesman Said Amzazi, the text generally determines the obligations of doctors, their relations with patients and relations between doctors as well as between doctors and other health professionals.
The text also aims to determine the relationship of doctors with the National Order, and specifies the ethical and professional rules of certain forms of exercise of the profession, such as occupational medicine, control and expertise, added the spokesperson in a press release read during a press briefing at the end of the Council.
Regarding the status of interns, decree n ° 2.20.706 adopted Thursday modifies royal decree n ° 747.67 of February 27, 1968 and increases by 2000 dirhams the mission allowances for 7th year students assigned to hospitals under the ministry of Health.
Regarding the third decree adopted by the Council of Government, and also presented by Khalid Ait Taleb, it concerns 6th year dental students assigned to university hospitals placed under the supervision of the Ministry of Health.
In their case too, the value of allowances for their missions will be revised upwards, and its amount will be set at 2000 dirhams and this allowance will also be applied for students of the sixth year of pharmacy too, according to a statement by Said Amzazi.
This draft decree aims to set at 2,000 DH the value of allowances for the missions entrusted to sixth year dental students, assigned to university hospitals under the supervision of the Ministry of Health.
The Council likewise approved the bill N ° 33.21 modifying and supplementing the law 131.13 relating to the practice of medicine, by specifying certain observations raised about this text, which intervenes in execution of the royal orientations for the reform of the national health system as a whole.
This text also intervenes for the implementation of the provisions of the framework law 09.21 relating to social protection which aims to broaden the base of insured citizens, in the sense that it has become necessary to open broad perspectives for the strengthening medical human capital as a key component for the efficiency of the health system.
