Gmail launches verified badge for businesses

Google has announced the rollout of a verified badge for businesses that will appear next to their sender name when someone opens their email.

The arrival of the blue tick in Gmail messaging aims to strengthen business authentication, fight against spam and thus offer a more secure experience for users.

Furthermore, this verified badge will not be accessible to just any company. It will be attached, only, to the names of those who have previously configured “BIMI” (Brand indicators for the identification of messages).

A feature which requires, since its implementation in 2021, the use of strong authentication and which requires verification of the brand logo in order to be able to display it as an avatar in emails.

Google is already starting to deploy the blue badges, they will appear on certain emails very soon.
