FSNA President Presents Authority's 2021 Report to Akhannouch

The Head of Government Aziz Akhannouch received, this Friday, in Rabat, Jawhar Nfissi, President of the National Financial Intelligence Authority (ANRF), who presented to the Head of Government the Authority’s annual report for the year 2021 , in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 05-43 relating to the fight against money laundering, as amended and supplemented.

The report highlights the increasing development of ANRF’s activity indicators during 2021, both in terms of suspicious transaction reports submitted or requests for information made at national and international level, or transmissions to the competent judicial authorities, reports a press release from the Department of the Head of Government.

“The report reviews the main achievements relating to the upgrading of the national system for the fight against money laundering and the financing of terrorism, its harmonization with international standards and good practices and the acceleration of the pace coordination at the national level between law enforcement authorities and authorities for the supervision and monitoring of subject persons and the private sector,” the statement said.

During this audience, was mentioned the next visit of the experts of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) to Morocco, scheduled for January 16 to 18, 2023 in order to learn about the most important achievements of the Kingdom in terms of implementation the axes of the action plan agreed with the group in the field, with a view to exiting the reinforced monitoring process as soon as possible, according to the same source.
