French lawyer Gilles Devers assembled a “legal army” of 300 lawyers within a span of 10 days. Devers said that there is the potential to enlist another 3000, emphasizing that the door is open for anyone willing to act as a “witness to Israeli crimes.”
In a televised statement, Devers stated, “we filed a complaint in the name of associations and unions for Israel’s commission of genocide, and the Palestinian case will be presented in all national and international courts.”
Devers, considered one of France’s most prominent lawyers, issued a stark warning to Israeli authorities, predicting a “dark fate” for them.
Addressing Palestinians, he assured them, “you didn’t have someone to defend you, but now you have an army in international and national courts.”
Under the banner “you don’t have an army; we have decided to be your army”, Devers rallied support.
The complaint was submitted to the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague, Netherlands, on behalf of over 200 associations worldwide.
