For the past year, the Biblio Tobiss, a veritable “French Institute” on wheels, has been criss-crossing Morocco to meet rural and peri-urban populations. From December 13, he will be in Figuig.
With on board young professionals trained in cultural mediation and mastering the languages of the Kingdom, equipped with a library, a digital and multimedia space, sports equipment and a sound system for outdoor screenings or concerts, the Biblio Tobiss has already attracted more than 25,000 young Moroccans, recalls the French Institute of Oujda.
After various stations in the Oriental region, recently in the town of Aïn Beni Mathar, the Tobiss library arrives in the city of Figuig and will be inaugurated by the local authorities on Tuesday, December 13 at 3 p.m. at Place Bir Anzarane.
Promoter of intercultural exchanges in each of the regions of Morocco, the Biblio Tobiss opens spaces for dialogue on societal, cultural and environmental issues and aims to promote access to culture for all by strengthening social ties at the local level.
