The Consulate General of Morocco in Montpellier recently organized a mobile consulate for the Moroccan community established in the department of Gard (south).

Consular teams moved to the town of Milhaud to provide all consular and administrative services, in a local action held at the approach of the holy month of Ramadan, on the occasion of which a large part of the MRE join the country, says a statement from the consulate.

The objective is to allow them to benefit from services and benefits close to their place of residence, adds the same source.

On this occasion, the Consul General of the Kingdom in Montpellier, Nouzha Sahel met with Jean-Luc Descloux, Mayor of Milhaud, taking advantage of this opportunity to exchange with the Moroccan community and the representatives of the associative fabric established in this department.

This consular trip is part of the proximity approach advocated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Living Abroad, in line with royal guidelines.

This action, highly welcomed by the Moroccan community, is the fifth stage after that initiated in Ardèche, Lozère, Pyrénées Orientales and Aveyron.
