France is determined “more than ever” to strengthen its economic partnerships with Morocco, said Monday in Casablanca, the Minister for Foreign Trade and the attractiveness of the Republic of France, Franck Riester, visiting Morocco until November 23.

“We wish to share with business leaders our common ambition to develop economic partnerships, exchanges between France and Morocco, especially after the installation of the new government and one year after my last visit to demonstrate how our country is is determined to strengthen the specific relationship we have with the Kingdom ”, said Franck Riester during a meeting with the president of the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM), Chakib Alj.

After expressing his satisfaction with the solidity, excellence and durability of the privileged ties that unite the two countries, the French minister affirmed that the two parties would benefit from working together on the various possible fields of the development of partnerships in the line. of the new development model (NMD), but also in line with the French recovery plan and the France 2030 plan presented by President Emmanuel Macron and which represents a potential for considerable partnerships in sectors complementary to traditional sectors.

These are, in this case, partnerships in the food industry, aeronautics, automotive, renewable energies, new technologies, or even transport, that is to say sectors which have “enormous potential” for the industry. he future that we must build with Morocco both at the governmental level but also at the level of entrepreneurs and the private sector, argued Franck Riester.

In the same context, Chakib Alj indicated that this meeting focused on the means to be implemented to give a strong impetus to co-investment and joint ventures,“Even beyond the two respective markets and in strategic and future sectors such as digital technology and sustainability”.

To go further in Morocco-France economic relations, Chakib Alj highlighted the need to remove certain obstacles such as the tightening of visa granting procedures since the start of the year for Moroccans.

And to underline that it will also be necessary to continue to work to establish a business climate “healthy and favorable” to the construction of business relations, noting to this end, that the NMD has identified the various concrete projects to be carried out in this direction. .
