Real Madrid announced on Friday the recruitment of young Spanish international Fran Garcia from Rayo Vallecano.
“Formed in our academy, the left-back joins the first team after being the player who played the most minutes in the Spanish league last season,” said Real Madrid in a press release.
The 23-year-old left-back returns to the club where he trained for seven years after a three-year spell at Rayo Vallecano, a team with which he accumulated experience (72 games in the first division) and became one of the best defenders in La Liga, specifies the club of the Spanish capital.
Indispensable as a left-back for the Vallecano team, Fran Garcia played 40 games last season and scored 2 goals.
He is Real Madrid’s second signing for next season after Englishman Jude Bellingham.
