For Lamamra no postponement or cancellation of the Arab summit in Algiers
Share on FacebookShare on TwitterShare on Whatsapp

The regime in Algiers has found nothing better to argue for the “postponement of the date of the 31st summit of the Arab League in Algiers”, which, moreover, is no longer within its purview, than to declare via its Minister of Foreign Affairs, good old Ramtane Lamamra, during a meeting with all the ambassadors of Arab countries accredited to Algiers, except Morocco of course, “that no date has been set for it to be held and that therefore it there is no question of postponement or cancellation”.

A very poor consolation. Yet the Algerian president with the unpronounceable name had indeed advanced at the end of November, the organization of this event “31st summit of the Arab League in Algeria and not summit of Algiers” to rectify certain good souls, that it was going to take place on March. The guy, with an “all wrong”, suffered a scathing setback from the Arab League which at best sees it as the month of May or even June for a hike to the “Algiers conference” other jargon propagandist. The splash in the water is that the Arab countries want to fix the agenda line by line, no offense to the regime in Algiers.

The puppet of the ANP wishing to enroll him in causes that are hardly unanimous, such as Yemen, Syria (a country suspended from the Arab League) and the normalization initiated by several Arab countries with Israel. But never mind ! Mordicus, therefore, the friend intends to propose another date combining let us hold on “the national historical symbolism and the Arab dimension” according to Lamamra the visionary who in his complete formula concocted by the APS gives about this.

“This date, which should be adopted by the Council of Arab Ministers during its ordinary session scheduled for next March, with the initiative of Algeria and the support of the General Secretariat of the Arab League, will also make it possible to complete the process preparatory in form and substance, thus resulting in the achievement of the conclusions of a policy consolidating the credibility and effectiveness of joint Arab action., said the minister. In short, until now there is no date and there is no consensus to have managed to define the subjects to be dealt with at the next Arab summit.

It is that in the Algerian approach to wanting to monopolize the Arab summit for its own purposes of propaganda, it is necessary to see there especially the diplomatic awkwardness of the mode of Algiers. The latter has the art of making everything messed up. For example between Egypt and Algeria, however allies, of a possible unified vision regarding Libya, it is out of the question as the differences are multiple between the two countries. But not that, the file of the Palestinian cause annoys, Cairo sees it badly being transferred to Algiers, which would make disorder in the presence and the Egyptian political influence in the region. Admittedly, they are points in common, but insufficient to balance the scales. The Algiers regime in this arrogant way of being does not only have Egypt on its back. In the Arab world, they are legion, the countries to have at least one reproach, in view of so many reasons to postpone the convening of the summit of the Arab League.

As we can see, Syria, the Palestinian cause, Libya, Yemen, the Abrahams agreements… are all differences that confirm the famous saying about “agree not to agree”. And then there is this question which is not on the agenda, by the sole will of Algiers and which, it seems, is of extreme importance. If we trust Lamamra who declares in order to “consecrate the values of common struggle and Arab solidarity”, what good is Algeria’s unilateral diplomatic break with Morocco? How can ignore an Arab country and want to unite the Arab nation with the avowed aim of “strengthen the credibility and effectiveness of joint Arab action”, and pass the blablabla of circumstances to you? No ! Algeria has far too much to do before waking up one day to real leadership. His regime has neither the diplomatic means, nor moreover the flexibility, the delicacy, the futility, nor… From there, to succeed in a meeting of the Arab League, there is only one step will never cross.
