As part of its 2018-2028 ten-year action plan presented to King Mohammed VI in September 2018, the Mohammed VI Foundation for the Promotion of Social Works in Education-Training (FM6 Education) is launching the Nafida 2 program to promote ‘access of Education-Training personnel to the knowledge, information and communication society.
This program follows a first operation which was a great success and enabled the equipment of 150,000 members with computers and Internet connection. Launched in May 2008, Nafida 1 has made a strong contribution, alongside other programs (GENIE and INJAZ), to the integration of ICTs in the education sector and to the implementation of the provisions of the Maroc Numeric 2013 plan, indicates the Foundation. .
The Nafida 2 program aims, on the one hand, to subsidize the equipment of 150,000 members with computers, and on the other hand, to encourage access to the Internet. It is for this reason that the Foundation has planned a budget of 300 million dirhams which will be mobilized to grant an individual subsidy of 2000 DH for any purchase of a computer.
Regarding the Internet connection, partnerships have been concluded with the three market operators to ensure a reduction of 25% on the public tariffs applied to the Internet connection of the 4G or optical fiber type.
The Nafida 2 program embodies the values that drive the Foundation’s interventions, in particular freedom of choice and equal opportunities. Members can choose their suppliers and / or the telecom operator according to their preference in terms of brand and budget.
The deployment of Nafida 2 goes through a digital process thanks to an application developed by the Foundation while mobilizing its central teams and its network of regional representations to facilitate access to this service.
The Nafida 2 program reflects the Foundation’s commitment to consolidate and improve access to information technologies for the benefit of the educational family. This commitment was confirmed by the signing, on Wednesday, of a partnership agreement between the Minister of National Education, Vocational Training, Higher Education and Scientific Research, government spokesperson, Said Amzazi, and the President of the Foundation, Youssef El Bakkali.
The President of the Foundation also signed an agreement with the Treasurer of the Kingdom, Noureddine Bensouda, the result of a long-standing collaboration and relating to the methods of distributing IT equipment grants to the members of the Foundation. as part of the Nafida 2 program.
Likewise, the event was marked by the signing of agreements between the Foundation and the three national telecom operators for the implementation of Nafida 2 preferential offers in terms of Internet connection.
