The Panthers opened the scoring thanks to a goal signed Jim Allevinah (22nd), while the Atlas Lions equalized thanks to a penalty obtained and transformed by Sofiane Boufal (74th). In the 81st minute, Aaron Boupendza restored the advantage to the Gabonese. Three minutes later, Achraf Hakimi set the record straight with a superb free kick. At the end of this day, Morocco finished first in this group with 7 points, ahead of its opponent (5 pts). Both selections are qualified for the round of 16.
