First gathering of locals since their coronation at CHAN 2021

The national selection of locals is not idle. The foals of Houcine Ammouta will perform, from March 23 to 29, a preparation course at the Mohammed VI Football Complex in Maâmora, announced the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF).

To complete this internship, the local coach, Houcine Ammouta called on 26 players, whose names were revealed in a press release published by the FRMF.

Note the absence of players from Raja de Casablanca, Anas Zniti and Soufiane Rahimi and those from Wydad de Casablanca, Ayoub El Kaabi and Yahya Jabrane, summoned by Vahid Halilhodzic to take part in the two matches counting for the 5th and 6th days of the qualifiers (group E) of the 33rd edition of the CAN against Mauritania and Burundi.

Indeed, the locals won against Mali (2-0) in the final, to win their second continental after their home victory in 2018.

The players of Houcine Ammouta have achieved a course that applauds and accumulate the greatest number of goals namely 15. Achievements that put them at the top of Africa, with 5 local players who stood out by being part of the eleven -type of competition.
