FICAK creates the Critics’ Prize

For its 22nd edition, the International Festival of African Cinema of Khouribga (FICAK) scheduled from May 28 to June 4, has announced the launch of the Critics’ Prize.

This prize, specify the organizers, will be awarded by the African Federation of Film Critics (FACC), and will reward, as its name suggests, the best critical film of the 22nd edition of the International Festival of African Cinema of Khouribga.

Burkinabe cinema will be the guest of honor at this edition. Tributes will be paid to the late Nour Eddine Saïl, to the former general delegate of FESPACO Soma Ardioma and to the Moroccan actor Mohamed Choubi.

In addition to the Don Quixote prize awarded by a jury made up of film clubs representing the National Federation of Film Clubs in Morocco, the Jury Prize for the 22nd edition of FICAK will be baptized in the name of the late Noureddine Saïl.

The grand prize of this festival will bear the name of Ousmane Sembene and that of the director, the name of Idrissa Ouédraogo.
