After a three-year hiatus due to the global health crisis, the 5th edition of the Festival Ciné Plage Harhoura is set to grace the shores of Sidi Abed beach from August 26 to 31. Organized by the Moroccan Association of Arts without Borders (AMAF) in collaboration with the Harhoura Municipality and the Moroccan Cinematographic Center (CCM), this festival promises to transform the beach into an enchanting outdoor cinema under the stars.
In a recent press release, festival organizers revealed that this edition will pay homage to three luminaries of Moroccan cinema: actress Raouya, and actors Mohamed Miftah and Rafik Boubker, alongside notable figures from the wider African film community.
The festival’s coastal backdrop will provide a fitting setting to celebrate cinematic artistry, offering a competitive platform for seven films, including titles like “Annatto” by director Fatima Boubakdy, “Sahari” by Moulay Taieb Bouhanana, and more.
The event will also encompass master classes, screenplay workshops, and thought-provoking debates hosted by esteemed filmmakers.
