The Beni Mellal Agropole will see in the coming months the establishment of a production unit for cosmetics and food supplements with an investment of 160 million dirhams (MDH).
The Wali of the Béni Mellal-Khénifra region, Khatib El Hebil, accompanied in particular by the President of the Béni Mellal-Khénifra region and the Director General of the Regional Investment Center (CRI) of the Béni Mellal-Khénifra region, proceeded on Thursday , at the launch of the construction works of this industrial unit at the level of the Agropole of Beni Mellal on an area of more than 12,000 square meters. This project, which will be carried out by Vilion, a subsidiary of the Glen Invest group, will be one of the major investment projects with high added value that will soon see the light of day in the Beni Mellal-Khénifra region.
The Director of CRI Béni Mellal-Khénifra, Mohamed Amine Bekkali, said he was very happy with the decision of the Vilion company to settle in the Agropole of Béni Mellal to produce aerosols and cosmetic products and food supplements, noting that this is a flagship project for the region which will certainly give a significant boost to the agri-food industry sector.
The installation of the Vilion company in the Beni Mellal Agropole through a project that will allow the creation of more than 124 direct jobs and several hundred indirect jobs is a strong signal to investors wishing to set up in the Béni Mellal-Khénifra region, added Mr. Bekkali, stressing that the Béni Mellal-Khénifra region is full of assets and potential and offers countless investment opportunities in the various sectors and branches of economic activity.
Mohamed Amine Bekkali pointed out that this project is supported by the Beni Mellal Agropole Investment Support Fund, which grants future companies wishing to set up at the Beni Mellal industrial platform a grant at the acquisition of land for 50% of the total price, recalling that a grant agreement was signed for this purpose at the end of last April with the company Vilion, and this, after the validation of its project by the Unified Regional Commission investment (CRUI).
For his part, the general manager of Vilion indicated that the choice of the Agropole of Beni Mellal to host this first industrial unit specializing in cosmetics and food supplements is not fortuitous and is explained by the fact that the region offers investors, all sectors combined, first-rate infrastructures allowing them to succeed in their projects.
The choice of Béni Mellal is also explained by the fact that Glen Invest believes in investing in the regions as a means of increasing the country’s wealth and creating job opportunities for young people, as well as in the greater potential of the Moroccan regions, he said, assuring that other projects of the Group are currently being studied and will be launched soon at the level of Beni Mellal and in other regions of the Kingdom.
The project to build a production unit for cosmetics and food supplements in Beni Mellal comprises three phases, the first will require an investment of 60 million dirhams and will be operational from next July to August, and the other two will mobilize some 100 MDH.
