Enaam Mayara, President of the Moroccan House of Advisors, is visiting Jordan on Monday as a part of his official parliamentary trip.
There, he will meet with the Jordanian Prime Minister and the Jordanian Minister of Defense, according to the Presidency of the Council of Advisors.
Following this visit, Mayara will take part in the 50th assembly of the Mediterranean Parliament as its president, said a statement issued today.
Mayara is also scheduled to meet with parliamentary and government representatives in Amman, Ramallah, and Jerusalem as part of a visit to the Middle East, as part of a parliamentary delegation that also includes representatives from the office of the Mediterranean Parliament.
Mayara will hold bilateral discussions with both the Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh and the President of the Palestinian National Council, Rawhi Fattouh, during this visit.
The goal of the bilateral discussions is to improve parliamentary cooperation and boost Moroccan-Palestinian relations in areas of shared interest, particularly the ongoing support for the Palestinian cause.
The Council of Advisors Presidency reaffirmed Morocco’s firm and clear stance on the Palestinian problem, as well as its rejection of any interference with the fundamental rights of the Palestinian people.
The Council of Advisors’ presidency reaffirmed the right of the Palestinian people to create their own independent, enduring state within the boundaries of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem serving as its capital.
This state would coexist with the State of Israel in an environment of security, stability, and peace while advancing regional peace, coexistence, growth, and prosperity.
