The former Head of Government and Secretary General of the Justice and Development Party (PJD), Abdalilah Benkirane, criticized the results of the Tuesday evening Chamber of Councilors elections which allowed the PJD to win three seats, expressing “his regret for what happened “.
Citing a call with the leader of the PJD, Abdalilah Benkirane, the leader within the PJD, Amina Mailainine, relayed the latter’s assertions that he expresses his deep regrets and his pain at what happened during elections to the House of Councilors.
What happened then? According to several PJDist leaders, the party was given seats it did not deserve at all.
Among other voices, the members of the resigning general secretariat Abdessamad El Idrissi and the former minister Mohamed Najib Boulif distinctly affirmed that “the seats obtained are undeserved and incomprehensible and do not reflect the reality of the results obtained during the elections of September 8 and the political map that emerged from it ”.
Benkirane supports voices calling for rejection of seats won
El Idrissi declared that “this absurdity must be rejected, the gift in politics must be refused and we must not accept these seats” while the former Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in charge of General Affairs, Najib Boulif, considered that these are rigged results. “The invisible hand that interfered in the election results for the PJD on September 8, repeated the same thing on October 5!?!? He wrote on his Facebook page.
It is to these positions as well as that of Amina Maelainine that Benkirane has rallied.
In his appeal with Maelainine, Benkirane considered that the results of the October 5 elections violate the rules of the electoral process and the political values that the PJD defends and to which it adheres.
Benkirane also expressed his agreement with the note signed by Amina Maelainine on her Facebook page, in which she considered that “the party’s obtaining of the number of votes is ten times higher than what it obtained during the” setback. of September 8 “, which is incomprehensible”.
Maelainine described the three seats as “a charity or a rejected electoral handout”, questioning the part “which guided the main voters of the other parties to vote on the PJD, despite the high cost of these votes, and in the absence of any alliance between the PJD and the other parties ”.
Maelainine called, like the other leaders of the PJD, for the rejection of these “suspicious” seats. Quoting “Mohamed Hafid’s refusal to accept the parliamentary seat he obtained, because he believed he did not deserve it”, she considered that “the PJD does not deserve its seats”. “No matter how hard we try to justify them, we won’t get there,” she concluded.
