At least five people were killed and 24 others were injured in the collapse on Saturday of a nine-story building in a popular area of the capital, Cairo.
According to the governorate of the Egyptian capital, its crisis room was informed at 3:00 a.m. of the collapse of the building located in the district of Gesr Suez, east of Cairo.
Without specifying whether the available balance sheet is final, the governorate indicated in a press release that “Khaled Abdel Aal, the governor, immediately went to the scene of the incident accompanied by civil protection forces”.
