A Dutch citizen wanted by Interpol was arrested Friday by police in Fez. The man is suspected of killing his wife in 2010.
The Directorate General of National Security (DGSN) announced on Twitter that a man, a Dutch citizen, subject to an Interpol red notice and an international arrest warrant issued by the Netherlands , has been arrested.
“Fez .. Arrest of a Dutch citizen, who is wanted under a red notice issued by Interpol, and according to an international arrest warrant issued by the Dutch judicial authorities, suspected of having participated in a murder on his woman, ”tweeted the DGSN this Friday afternoon.

The suspect is a man aged 73, suspected of involvement in the premeditated murder of his wife 11 years ago. The Dutch judicial authorities issued an international arrest warrant against him, which turned into a red notice at Interpol. He was taken into police custody by order of the prosecution and pending trial.
According to a statement from the DSGN, the suspect should be brought before the judicial authorities in order to rule on extradition requests, “in accordance with national legal texts and relevant international conventions” which define international police cooperation.
