The Kawkab Athlétique Club de Marrakech (KACM)-football section held, on Sunday at the Grand Stade in the ocher city, its ordinary general assembly (AGO), marked by the unanimous election of Driss Hanifa, as new president of the Club for a term of 4 years.

Hanifa previously held the position of chairman of the provisional committee responsible for managing the club for the 2022-2023 sports season, during which KACM successfully climbed to Botola Pro D2.

During this AGO in which 29 members took part out of a total of 38, the presentation, discussion and approval of the moral report took place, which emphasized the efforts made by the provisional committee. as well as on the results and achievements of the KACM-football section, including the rise to the Botola Pro D2, despite several constraints.

The moral report also highlights the importance given to the club’s training center, which has been integrated into the committee’s annual program, through the mobilization of qualified executives and technicians, who have enabled the achievement of positive results in certain categories. of age.

The AGO was also marked by the reading, discussion and approval of the financial report, which indicates that the club’s income for the period from September 2022 to June 30, 2023, reached more than 11.1 million of DH (MDH) while the expenditure for the same period amounts to nearly 11 MDH.

The new president of the KACM-football section, Driss Hanifa, underlined that this AGO was held in good conditions, displaying the ambition of the new executive office of the KACM, to achieve the ascent to the Botola Pro D1 during the next sports season.

“The new office will focus on the ambitious project of training players”, because, he explained, all the financial problems, which the club is currently suffering from, are due to recruitment, which is very expensive for KACM” , noting that the training center is called upon to become a model at the national level and a breeding ground for talented players from the ocher city.

In a similar statement, the representative of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), Jamal Snoussi, underlined that the AGO took place in good conditions and up to the reputation of this historic club, considering that the Botola Pro D1 remains the natural place of the mythical Club of Marrakech.

KACM, one of the pillar clubs of national football with a glorious past and a well-stocked track record, succeeded in its ascent to the Botola Pro D2 “Inwi” by occupying first place, with 65 points (19 wins, 8 draws and three losses).
