The Casablanca-Settat region has observed a drop in new cases of the coronavirus in the past 24 hours, while that of Rabat-Salé-Kénitra has seen an increase.
MoroccoLatestNews’s watch and monitoring platform, www.moroccolatestnews.com, details that Morocco now has 949,263 confirmed, 14,770 deaths (i.e. a mortality rate of 1.5%), 931,433 cures, a total of 9,416 .896 tests (an increase of 10,441) and 3,060 cases under treatment, including 108 in serious condition (5 under intubation).
In addition, 24,400,741 people have received a first dose of the coronavirus vaccine since the launch of the campaign while 22,594,819 are in the second dose and 1,625,923 for the third, the health ministry said.
As for the geographical distribution of the new cases identified in Morocco in the last 24 hours, it is the region of Grand Casablanca-Settat which tops the most affected regions with 56 new infections, mainly in Casablanca (40) notes the platform. Second region in the ranking, the region of Rabat-Salé-Kénitra which reports 41 new cases, mainly in Rabat (15) and Salé (10).
Next, the Marrakech-Safi region which records 12 news in Marrakech, while that of Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima has 9 including 6 in Tanger-Assilah, 2 in Tétouan and 1 in Ouezzane.
For its part, the Oriental region observed 5 new cases (4 in Nador and 1 in Oujda-Angad) while that of Beni Mellal-Khénifra observed 2 in Khouribga and Fquih Ben Salah as well as Draâ-Tafilalet (1 in Errachidia and 1 in Midelt) and Fès-Meknes in Taza.
The last region to count a new case of the coronavirus is that of Souss-Massa in Taroudant.
