The third wave which is currently sweeping over Algeria is causing very strong disturbances and increasing the pressure at the hospital level to such an extent that a lack of medical oxygen has been sorely felt these days, thus adding the doldrums of the shortage of beds in intensive care units. Critically ill patients are urged to obtain oxygen concentrators so that hospitals, when available, can take care of them and attempt to treat them.
In ten days, the numbers have gone from simple to triple. They are increasing exponentially, officially with an average of at least 1,500 daily cases and around 20 deaths. But they are much more because the figures are truncated in Algeria. The outbreak therefore continues unmoved and inexorable in Algeria which records every day that God makes, a new record of positive cases. It is that since Thursday 1er July, the official rise in contamination has continued to accelerate, from 400 cases per day to nearly 1,500 new infections at least. The death toll has also risen sharply to rise above the mark of 20 deaths per day. Algeria, sure, has been facing a most disturbing Lady Covid outbreak since the start of this month.
For the Minister of Health of Algeria, Abderrahmane Benbouzid, to intervene and recognize during a videoconference meeting with the directors of health of wilayas, this Wednesday that the epidemic situation in Algeria was “worrying” is that ‘There is danger in delay. Benbouzid announced that a private operator would launch “soon” in the production of oxygen, a vital product for the treatment of covid-19 patients, and which hospitals are currently lacking. Should we laugh or cry about this policy in the face of a fait accompli? He also affirmed that Algeria has acquired oxygen concentrators from China which will have to be received “next Friday or Saturday”, and that “a large hotel” will be reserved in each affected wilaya for the care of covid patients. -19 suffering from lack of oxygen.
He also indicated that the National People’s Army (ANP) would provide the health sector with a hotel in Ben Aknoun (Algiers), with a capacity of 120 beds and equipped with respirators. It is always better than the straw of the jails of the ANP which every day that God makes, receive eminences from all sides, plan A, plan B, see up to plan Omega at least, capo Changriha & co having so much of tricks in their boots that the Algerian citizen gets lost.
