The city of Dakhla vibrated on December 2 and 3 to the rhythm of the 1st edition of the “Orss Assahrae” Festival, with a view to promoting the cultural and artistic dynamics of the city.
Initiated by the Moroccan Professional Union of Song Creators (SPMCC), in partnership with the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication -Department of Culture, and in cooperation with the Regional Directorate of Culture of Dakhla- Oued-Eddahab, this cultural and artistic event aims to preserve Hassani culture and heritage as essential components of Moroccan identity, plural and rich in the diversity of its tributaries.
The president of the Festival, Taoufik Ammour indicated that this eclectic event aims to highlight the Hassani culture, as the intangible heritage of all Moroccans and an integral part of the united Moroccan cultural identity.
“This first edition was punctuated by artistic evenings animated by a group of artists and young local talents”, continued Ammour, noting that this festival also aims to highlight the Hassani poetic repertoire.
On the menu of this festival, which is part of the commemoration of the 47th anniversary of the glorious Green March and the 67th anniversary of Independence Day, there are concerts of Hassani music, poetic readings and symposiums to throw light on hassani poetry.
