Passenger traffic at Dakhla airport fell by 19.60% in the first two months of 2021 compared to the same period of the previous year.
The number of passengers passing through this airport platform reached 31,829 at the end of February, against 39,590 travelers during the same period of 2020, according to data provided by the National Airports Office (ONDA).
For the month of February alone, some 15,123 travelers used Dakhla airport, against 19,868 passengers during the same period of the previous year, a drop of 23.88%, said the same source.
This February result, which represents 3.60% of the volume of air traffic at the various airports in the Kingdom, places this airport platform in 7th place nationally.
The Kingdom’s airports recorded in February 2021 a volume of commercial passenger traffic of 420,384 travelers, against 1,952,145 received in February 2020, a decrease of around 78.47% compared to the same period of the year. 2020.
