Dacia launches its 3rd generation Sandero and changes its winning recipe

Undisputed leader on the Moroccan market for years, Dacia seems to want to change course and change a winning recipe by detaching itself from the cheapest brand label on the market.

Still manufactured at the SOMACA factory in Casablanca, the new Sandero and its Stepway “crossover” version is completely renewed with the ambition of conquering the hearts of young urbanites other than small taxis. Completely revisited, this 3rd generation continues a dynasty born in 2009 in Morocco, with more than 100,000 units since sold.

Completely redesigned, the city Sandero earns the new nickname “Streetway” to differentiate itself from the adventurer “Stepway”. It exudes a stronger personality and bolder style with the adoption of a new LED light signature. Wider and lower, it displays a dynamic look and a strong character.

Also, the Sandero “Stepway” version adopts a 100% Crossover DNA with even more marked SUV attributes: raised ground clearance, adventurer style, imposing grille, wheel arch protectors, modular roof bars… Sandero Stepway embodies more than ever the adventure and outdoor side of the brand.

The 2 versions fill up with new technological equipment, and offer even more generous roominess based on the new CMF-B platform (Clio 5), for better road holding and improved driving pleasure with an endowment complete with safety equipment and driving aids.

In addition, it inherits a whole new generation of engines that are much more powerful, economical and ecological (with availability of the automatic gearbox). In essence, the 3-cylinder TCe Turbo Renault of 1 liter and 100 hp is associated with a 5-speed manual gearbox, and as an option, an automatic gearbox with continuous variator (CVT), on the “Stepway” version. In diesel, the 1.5 DCi engine gains 10 hp and peaks at 95 hp, still associated with a 5-speed manual gearbox.

Prices start for a Streetway diesel version at 127,900 dhs (139,900 for the Stepway version) up to 150,900 dhs for the “Stepway” comfort. The petrol engine starts at 110,900 dhs. Note that the old taxi version remains available for sale from 105.900dhs.
