The Moroccan Agency for Energy Efficiency (AMEE) and the Marocaine des Jeux et des Sports (MDJS) signed a partnership agreement on Tuesday in Rabat aimed at participating in national efforts in terms of energy efficiency and economy. green, also within the framework of the exemplary nature of the state and in the role of enterprise with mission of the MDJS.
Initialed by Saïd Mouline, Director General of AMEE and Younes El Mechrafi, Director General of MDJS, this agreement will allow MDJS to benefit from the technical support of AMEE for the definition of a specific strategy in terms of energy efficiency in compliance with best practices on a global scale, indicate the two parties in a joint press release, adding that this proactive action by the MDJS stems from the execution of its strategic CSR plan 2020-2023.
In the short term, the AMEE will support the MDJS in carrying out an energy diagnosis covering both the company’s headquarters and its network of points of sale across the Kingdom, the same source said, explaining that this diagnosis will be useful. basis for the development of a trajectory leading the MDJS and its ecosystem of partners towards operational excellence in energy efficiency.
In addition, AMEE will bring its expertise to the MDJS so that it can reduce its carbon footprint and that of its partners on the planet. The identified carbon offsetting opportunities will give rise to a portfolio of concrete projects enriching the company’s 2020-2023 CSR strategy.
This partnership reinforces the CSR approach of the MDJS initiated in 2014 with the obtaining of the CSR label from the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM) and demonstrates its lasting commitment to being a pioneer and innovative institution in this area. The MDJS, as a corporate citizen, is also committed to accompanying and supporting the efforts to raise national awareness of energy efficiency and the green economy led by AMEE.
