Morocco now has more than 73 cases of the British variant of the coronavirus. This was indicated by the Minister of Health, Khalid Ait Taleb, before the Council of Government meeting this Thursday in Rabat in videoconference mode.
In this regard, he noted the “worrying” nature of the evolution of the epidemiological situation of the last two weeks in the Kingdom, marked by a rather alarming increase in positive cases for the coronavirus, in particular in the Casablanca-Settat region.
In this sense, he recalled that the Casablanca-Settat region alone records half (50%) of the positive cases identified in the Kingdom, with a positivity rate of 12%, while the national one is of the order of 4.2%
The government has thus indicated that it will continue its consultations with the scientific committee in order to take the necessary measures, particularly during the month of Ramadan.
Which measures will be announced at the appropriate time, the Executive further indicated, urging Moroccans not to listen to rumors and fake news on this issue.
The objective, it was stressed, is to preserve the health of the citizens, without losing sight of the economic situation of the country.
