court fines Google over $ 98 million

A Russian court on Friday sentenced the US company Google to a fine of more than $ 98 million for “administrative irregularities”, reported the Russian news agency “TASS”.

The Tagansky District Court in the capital, Moscow, “imposed an administrative fine of 7.2 billion rubles ($ 98.4 million) on the company,” added the same source, noting that “he been recognized that Google is responsible for an administrative offense, stipulated in article 13.41 of the law on administrative offenses ”.

For its part, the Russian Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technologies and Mass Media, Roskomnadzor, told TASS that 16 appeals had been prepared against Google earlier this year.
