AC Milan player Brahim Diaz has finally chosen to wear the Atlas Lions jersey, according to journalist Lino Bacco in a tweet.
Indeed, according to journalist Lino Bacco, the AC Milan player would be “99.99% present at the next national team gathering”, scheduled for March 20-28.
The 23-year-old attacking midfielder had already made appearances with the Spanish youth team and only one selection with Roja A in a friendly against Lithuania in 2021. Nevertheless, Brahim Diaz is also of Moroccan origin and he is therefore eligible for a change of sporting nationality.
Diaz since his transfer to the Rossoneri in 2020, he has performed well by scoring 17 goals and providing 9 assists in 105 games played.
The FRMF, for its part, has repeatedly tried to convince the player to wear the colors of the national team, in particular during the 2022 World Cup where his name had circulated following Amine Harit’s package, but without any clear answer from the part of the Madrid player on loan to the Italian club.
In addition, the Atlas Lions will face Colombia on the next FIFA dates as well as a second South American nation which will be communicated later, says Lino Bacco in his tweet.
