In Morocco, the upward spread of Covid19 makes the Executive feared another wave that would seriously threaten the way out of the crisis that the Kingdom seemed to have initiated. Also, the Ministry of Health provided in a press release announcing that the number of cases of contamination during the last two days has clearly increased and warns of a new epidemic drift.
It is also said that within the framework of the national system of vigilance and epidemiological surveillance, the Ministry of Health has indicated that it has recorded, during the last two days, a notable increase in the number of new cases of Corona virus, as well as the number of critical cases and the number of deaths. For the supervision, it is the lack of vigilance and commitment to procedures and restrictive measures, especially after the gradual lifting of confinement and the night curfew at the start of the summer vacation and with the reopening of borders.
In this regard, the Ministry of Health warns that the gradual lifting of containment procedures does not necessarily mean the end of the Covid-19 pandemic, nor more of a return of life to its normal course. The guardianship rather warns and informs that the danger is still present and calls for the involvement of all citizens in the fight against this pandemic with all responsibility and a spirit of patriotism in order to put our country in safety, to the horizon of the realization of collective immunity. We owe it to ourselves to value the gains made today, especially after the national vaccination campaign has obtained the expected results for the time being, with about a third of the Moroccan population who have been vaccinated.
Consequently, and in order to avoid any setback that could bring back to square one, the Ministry of Health calls on all citizens to be vigilant and to strictly respect preventive measures and barrier gestures such as the correct wearing of a mask, distancing social, avoid unnecessary gatherings and personal and public hygiene. The epidemiological situation in our country is particularly prone to worsening, with the emergence of new mutations of the virus and could be characterized by rapid spread and transmission.
Even if it means repeating itself, the Ministry of Health invites citizens to respect the rules of hygiene and health security as well as the preventive measures taken by the Moroccan authorities by showing responsibility and patriotism.
