The Minister of Transport and Logistics, Mohammed Abdeljalil, spoke out in favor of lifting health restrictions at airports and ports in Morocco, in particular the virus detection test, PCR.
During a session of oral questions in the House of Representatives, Mohamed Abdeljalil, said he was in favor of the abolition of the PCR test at Moroccan airports and ports for the Moroccan community established abroad and international travelers.
His position comes as several parliamentarians have called for the removal of this measure for travelers. “The decision must be made and we are working hard for it,” said Abdeljalil.
Nevertheless, the Minister recalled that the decision was not within the purview of his ministry. He thus said that the decision must come from the government and is not linked to the Ministry of Transport and Logistics.
For its part, the opposition considered that it was only necessary to request the vaccine pass from all travelers and no longer use the PCR test, considering that it was “too expensive”.
