Since the launch, on January 28, of the national vaccination campaign, a total of 4,302,183 people have been vaccinated, including 3,332,292 having received their second dose, according to data communicated by the Ministry of Health which announced 301 new cases carrying the coronavirus recorded in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases identified at the national level since the start of the epidemic to 494,659.
Currently, the total of active cases increases to 3,509, of which 427 people are in serious condition. In terms of national incidence, the rate rises to 1360.4 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. Over the last 24 hours, the incidence is 0.8 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
As for the geographical distribution of the new cases identified in Morocco in the last 24 hours, it is the region of Casablanca-Settat which comes first with 189 infections, including 151 located in the city of Casablanca, 15 in El Jadida, 12 in Mohammadia, 2 in Berrechid, Médiouna and Benslimane
Second in the ranking this Sunday, the region of Rabat – Salé-Kenitra recorded 24 new infections including 9 in Kénitra, 6 in Skhirate-Témara, 5 in Rabat, 3 in Sidi Slimane, and 1 case in Salé.
For its part, the Marrakech-Safi region has posted a record of 22 new coronavirus infections in the past 24 hours: Marrakech 19 cases, Al Haouz 2 cases, and El Kelâa des Sraghna 1 case.
Same results for the regions of Souss-Massa and the Oriental which both show 17 new cases identified. Agadir-Ida -Ou-Tanane 13 cases, Inezgane- Ait Melloul 3, Tiznit 1, for the first and Nador 5 cases, Taourirt 4, Jerada and Berkane 3, Oujda-Angad 2 cases for the second.
The Tangier-Tetouan- Al Hoceima region recorded 15 new infections divided between 8 cases in Larache, 6 in Tanger-Assilah and 1 case in Al Hoceima, while the Dakhla-Oued Eddahab region identified 7 positive cases for covid-19 , all in Oued-Eddahab.
The rest of the regions show results below 5 infections, this is the case of Laâyoune – Sakia El Hamra with its 4 cases, of which 3 were recorded in Laâyoune, and 1 case in Smara. Three cases were identified in the region of Fès – Meknes (Fès 2, Taounate 1), two cases for Drâa-Tafilalet (Errachidia 1, Midelt 1)
and finally 1 case for the region of Beni Mellal-Khénifra identified with Fquih Ben Salah.
