The Mohammed V National Theater in Rabat and the Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes Church in Casablanca are the locations chosen by the Three Cultures of the Mediterranean Foundation, based in Seville, for the two concerts that the Choir of the Three Cultures will give, the June 9 and 10, in Morocco.
A press release from the Foundation specifies that these two concerts will bring together almost 100 artists passionate about music, professionals and musicians from Spain and Morocco.
The Moroccan artists, notes the Foundation, belong to the choir “Les Voix du Chœur”, based in Rabat, a vocal ensemble with great experience which brings together some fifty music-loving choristers, whose repertoire is composed of works by heritage of Morocco as contemporary compositions and classical music.
As for the participants from Andalusia, it is a ”careful selection” of voices made from several choirs and ensembles such as proyectoeLe, Seville Chamber Choir, Musical Society of Seville, Coro CODICE, A5 Vocal Ensemble and the Choir of the Amis de la Maestranza Association, among others.
The 2023 edition of the Chœur des Trois Cultures also counts on the prestigious accompaniment of a selection of 29 musicians, all professionals, mainly from Morocco, with “extensive experience and excellent musical training”.
Note that these recitals will be the culmination of a much broader process, in which participants will share rehearsals, moments of exchange and days of coexistence not only to combine their voices, but above all to get to know each other better. , by promoting intercultural dialogue and respect for diversity, objectives of the Three Cultures Foundation in all its actions.
