On the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, the local prison of Beni Mellal hosted a collective Iftar organized by the administration of this penitentiary establishment for the benefit of minor and elderly prisoners.
This humanitarian initiative, which aims to establish communication relations with this fringe of society, was organized in partnership with the Local Council of Oulema of Beni Mellal and the administrative unit of the Mohammed VI Foundation for the promotion of social works of employees. religious.
The director of the local prison of Beni Mellal, in this sense, highlighted the great importance of this initiative which makes it possible to share the joy and the atmosphere of Ramadan with this fringe of prisoners for whom the spirituality of this blessed month manifested through the values of fraternity, compassion and devotion.
This initiative is of great importance for the detainees in that it contributes to consolidating the communication links between the residents and their external environment, he said, noting that the aim is to immerse this fringe of detainees in the spiritual atmosphere of Ramadan and to bring them joy and comfort in this blessed month.
For his part, the regional delegate for Islamic affairs in Beni Mellal-Khénifra hailed, on behalf of the administrative unit of the Mohammed VI Foundation for the promotion of social works of religious officials, the administration of this penitentiary establishment for the activities and the actions it organizes for the benefit of residents both during the holy month of Ramadan and throughout the year.
He also welcomed the role that the Local Council of Oulema assigns itself within this penitentiary establishment through the support of scientific and cultural activities, citing in this regard certain activities initiated by the delegation of Islamic affairs for the benefit inmates including literacy, preaching and religious orientation programs.
During this collective Iftar, poetry readings on the virtues and benefits of the holy month of Ramadan were given by residents of the local prison of Beni Mellal. This evening-Iftar was embellished by songs of samaa and madih.
