The presidents of Moroccan clubs are not immune from criminal prosecution in the event of accusations of squandering the finances of the clubs they manage.
The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) has warned Moroccan club presidents about the criminal prosecution. During its General Assembly, the Moroccan body discussed an amendment to club presidents in the event of poor management of their clubs.
This amendment, which must be adopted on April 21, the date of the FRMF EGM and will also apply to former club leaders who will not escape it.
The latter emphasizes that “The president of the sports association is personally responsible, during his term of office, for the commitments made by the association, including financial commitments. This responsibility continues even after the end of his term as president ”.
