Closing of the work of the 31st session of the Superior Council of Ulemas

The Superior Council of Ulemas closed, Saturday in Rabat, the work of its 31st ordinary session, held with the high approval of HM King Mohammed VI, Amir Al-Mouminine.

The closing session, held at the end of the meetings of the commissions and the preparation of their reports, took place in the presence of the Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, Ahmed Toufiq, the Secretary General (Al Amine) of the Council Superior of the Ulemas, Mohamed Yessef, as well as the Secretary General of the Council, Saïd Chabar.

In a statement to the press, Mr. Chabar indicated that the closing session of this session was marked by the presentation of the results of the reports of the various commissions which unanimously underline the determination of the Ulemas to continue their mission of supervision of citizens in the religious field under the care of the Commandery of believers.

Mr. Chabar noted in this sense that the scientific commission of the Fatwa has worked on a good number of fatwas which have been submitted to it, and made proposals and formulated responses to the institutions and organizations that have requested it, adding that the commission in charge of the development of the Islamic heritage will carry out the verification of the work “Ach-Chifa” of Cadi Ayyad, after the consolidation of the existing copies in the international libraries, like the work carried out by the Superior Council of Ulemas concerning the book “Al Muwatta” of Imam Malik.

He also noted that the commission in charge of the plan for the implementation of religious values ​​is working on this major project in which the Superior Council of Ulemas will be involved, as well as imams, preachers and the Mohammed VI Institute for the Training of Imams. Mourchidine and Mourchidat, ensuring that this plan will see the light of day very soon.

Concerning the commission in charge of the media presence and communication, Mr. Chabar pointed out that it was able to develop a communication plan in the context of the current media and digital revolution, ensuring that an opening will be made on the media and social media platforms to continue raising awareness of citizens on religious issues and the consolidation of Moroccan religion.

He also noted that the commission in charge of the regional councils of the Ulemas has put in place an integrated action plan concerning the functioning of these councils at the regional level so as to ensure the unity of the vision, the project and the implementation. implemented in all regions, in coordination with the General Secretariat.

The commission in charge of the supervision provided by the Alima woman has worked, for its part, on the development of a guide relating to the supervising Alima woman, which defines the procedures for carrying out this mission, in particular for regarding issues related to women, young people, the family and society, he said, stressing that the Superior Council of Ulema intends to follow the conclusions of this mission through its General Secretariat.

The closing session of this 31st ordinary session of the Superior Council of Ulemas was also marked by the reading of a message submitted to Amir Al-Mouminine, HM King Mohammed VI.

This session was held in accordance with the provisions of Dahir 1.03.300 of 02 Rabii I 1425 (April 22, 2004), relating to the reorganization of the Councils of Ulemas as amended and supplemented, in particular the first paragraph of Article 4 as well as in application of the provisions of Dahir No. 1.04.231 of 7 Moharram 1426 of the Hegira (February 16, 2005), approving the rules of procedure of the Superior Council of Ulemas, of Dahir No. 1.23.47 of 26 Dou Al Kiada 1444 of the Hegira (June 15, 2023) and Dahir n° 1.23.48 of 26 Dou Al Kiada 1444 of the Hegira (June 15, 2023).
