The Ministry of Health and Social Protection is organizing, from June 28 to July 1 in Rabat, a series of meetings and workshops to study the proposals of the actors of the pharmaceutical sector with a view to arriving at proposals for modifying the decree No. 2-13-852 relating to the conditions and procedures for setting the public selling price of locally manufactured or imported drugs.
These meetings and workshops, organized in coordination with the Department of the Head of Government, the Ministry Delegate to the Minister of Economy and Finance, in charge of the Budget and the National Agency for Health Insurance (ANAM), operate in accordance with the High Royal Instructions relating to the generalization of social coverage for all citizens, indicates a press release from the Ministry of Health and Social Protection.
The proposals in question will contribute to facilitating access to medicines at suitable prices, able to maintain the sustainability of social protection funds and preserve the purchasing power of citizens, it is specified, adding that through this participatory approach, the actors of the pharmaceutical sector as a whole, including the manufacture, distribution and marketing of drugs, contribute to issuing practical recommendations confirming their full and effective involvement for the success of this project.
